Production line at the Artica plant: mounting a motorhome cell onto its chassis

Engineering & production

42 inspection stations.
One promise.

An Artica is born in 240 steps — half of them inspections. We build every cell ourselves because we answer for every result.

Production

Five stations, one signature.

Our production chain is deliberately short: everything that affects safety and water-tightness is done in-house on the Kiel Canal.

  1. 01

    Design & prototype

Every new model starts as CAD construction and completes 30,000 test kilometres as a prototype — summer and winter alike.

  2. 02

    Sandwich cells

Roof, walls and floor are pressed as aluminium sandwich panels with a 45 mm Arctic-Cell® core — bonded seamlessly, never screwed.

  3. 03

    Furniture manufactory

Birch ply furniture is laser-cut and hand-assembled in our own cabinet shop, with damped closers on every door.

  4. 04

    Final assembly & sealing

Each cell passes the rain chamber and pressure-difference test before it meets its chassis.

  5. 05

    Climate-chamber test

Final test at −30 °C for 72 hours: heating output, window seals, on-board power. No “Winterfit” seal, no departure.

The energy concept

Nordic Power: a winter night, off-grid

Every Artica leaves the factory with our Nordic Power package: 200 Ah of lithium, 220 W of roof solar and intelligent energy management that runs the heating, fridge and 230 V sockets for days without hook-up.

Those who want extra independence often add a portable power station — for the garage or the awning, for example.
